Education & Experience

After earning his medical degree from Des Moines University, Dr. Stephens completed an internship and residency in family medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Ft. Worth, Texas.

He was an inaugural member of the first sports medicine fellowship at the same institution where he learned primary care orthopedics, sports medicine and basic pain management skills. He then joined a large multispecialty orthopedic group in Indiana, where he gained valuable hands-on experience.

Dr. Stephens returned to Texas to participate in an advanced pain fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital. In 2014, he joined Noble Pain Management and Sports Medicine.

A seasoned speaker at national and international healthcare and educational conferences on innovative concussion and migraine management concussion, migraine and all aspects of sports and interventional pain medicine, Dr. Stephens teaches not only didactic sessions but also how to perform multiple interventional pain procedures to other doctors around the country. He has provided expert opinions on numerous radio and TV stations throughout the country. He is a regular Fox News contributor.
